Courtney Burkinshaw grew up in Monument, Colorado. She attended Biola University in sunny Southern California, where she came to love Christian education as a way to equip followers of Jesus who are firm in their knowledge and convictions. She believes our world needs more children who are confident in their identity as God’s people and are prepared to bring His good news to the world. After teaching in a public school for two years in San Jose and completing her Masters in Education at Biola University, Courtney moved to Colorado and taught for four years at a Christian school. She has taught a variety of elementary grades, ranging from 1st to 5th. In 2024 she married her husband, Mike. They love spending time outside with their dog, Ollie; skiing; and reading. Courtney is excited to partner with families to raise up the next generation of thinkers and leaders!
