Jasmine O'Neill
Jasmine O’Neill was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where a love for learning, literature, and the outdoors helped shape her educational journey. She was classically homeschooled using the Thomas Jefferson model, which blends the structure and virtue of classical education with the curiosity and independence of unschooling. This hybrid approach nurtured her wide-ranging academic interests and love of discovery. Jasmine holds a bachelor’s degree in Religion and Education with an emphasis in math, science, history, and theology, and a minor in autism studies. She later earned a master’s degree in Curriculum Development and Education from Liberty University, drawn to its strong biblical foundation and commitment to holistic, thoughtful teaching.
Jasmine began her teaching career in high school special education and quickly discovered a passion for working with middle and high school students. She finds the logic and rhetoric stages of development particularly exciting, as students begin to ask big questions, explore ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue. She enjoys using Socratic methods and classical literature to help students think deeply, communicate clearly, and grow in wisdom. Jasmine believes literature provides a powerful platform for exploring virtue, truth, and the human experience.
Outside the classroom, Jasmine is a wife and mother of three. She homeschools her children and loves spending time outdoors, especially on long family road trips to historical landmarks and national parks. Whether teaching in the classroom or learning alongside her own children, Jasmine is passionate about cultivating curiosity, character, and a love of lifelong learning.
